Our major annual program is most certainly the Vishwakarma Puja 2077. It is a very important day for us Nepali people, as it is the day we worship Vishwakarma, divine architect of the Hindu pantheon. The Vishwakarma Puja is a festival that is celebrated not only by the factories and industrial sector, but by most of the nation.
During Vishwakarma Puja, devotees offer prayers, perform rituals, and seek blessings for success, prosperity, and safety in their respective professions. It is common to see people cleaning and decorating their workplaces, tools, and machinery. As well as organizing special ceremonies and pujas dedicated to Lord Vishwakarma.
Machinery workers worship the divine in hopes of smooth functioning of their machines while craftsmen worship the tool in the name of Vishwakarma. Cleaning and worshipping bikes, cars, buses, trucks and all other forms of vehicles is also a commonly held tradition. Equipment and electronics are worshipped so that they receive the blessings of the divine and work smoothly without malfunction.
Clothing in Nepal is no exception as we also observe the Vishwakarma Puja 2077 with lots of hope and faith. Every year, the whole family of Clothing in Nepal comes together to pray for safe and favorable working conditions. We clean all of our machinery and equipment and then perform the worshipping ceremony. Afterwards, we have a celebration with all of our members with some delicious gourmet food, music and dance party and more.
