Vishwakarma Puja

Our major annual program is most certainly the Vishwakarma Puja. It is a very important day for us Nepali people, as it is the day we worship Vishwakarma. The Vishwakarma Puja is a festival that is celebrated not only by the factories and industrial sector, but by most of the nation.

Vishwakarma Puja is a festival celebrated in honor of Lord Vishwakarma, the divine architect according to Hindu mythology. It falls typically in the month of September or October, depending on the Hindu lunar calendar. The festival holds immense significance, especially among craftsmen, artisans, and workers associated with various industries.

Machinery workers worship the divine in hopes of smooth functioning of their machines while craftsmen worship the tool in the name of Vishwakarma. Cleaning and worshipping bikes, cars, buses, trucks and all other forms of vehicles is also a commonly held tradition. Even modern machinery, equipment and electronics are worshipped so that they receive the blessings of the divine.

Clothing in Nepal is no exception as we also observe the Vishwakarma Puja with lots of hope and faith. Every year, the whole family of Clothing in Nepal comes together to pray for safe and favorable working
conditions, order, prosperity and even more success in the future. We clean all of our machinery and equipment and then perform the worshipping ceremony. Afterwards, we have a celebration with all of our members with some delicious gourmet food, music and dance party.
